Solo Leveling’ Anime Unveils Second Season Release Date, North American Stop For ‘Re-Awakening’ World Tour.
Solo Leveling fans, get ready—Sung Jinwoo, the Shadow Monarch, is preparing to face a new wave of S-rank enemies.
During the Aniplex Online Fest on September 15th, voice actors Taito Ban and Reina Ueda (who voice Sung Jinwoo and Chae Hae-in) announced that Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow will premiere in January 2025.
This season continues adapting the popular manhwa by writer Chugong and late illustrator Jang Sang-rak. It will cover both the Red Gate Arc and the Demon Castle Arc, picking up where Season 1 left off.
In the Red Gate Arc, Sung Jinwoo—after gaining the title of Shadow Monarch and the ability to turn the shadows of his enemies into soldiers—joins a White Tiger Guild training exercise with his sister’s friend. Their plans take a turn when they enter the wrong gate and get trapped in the dangerous Red Gate.
The Demon Castle Arc follows Jinwoo as he battles through a 100-floor S-rank dungeon, home to four demon bosses and the Holy Water of Life, which could cure his mother’s terminal illness.
In celebration of the Shadow Monarch’s return, a theatrical tour called Solo Leveling -ReAwakening will take place globally. Fans can watch a special cut of Season 1 and the first two episodes of Season 2 on the big screen.
Solo Leveling -ReAwakening begins in Korean theaters on November 28th, followed by Japan on November 29th. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures will bring the event to U.S. and Canadian theaters on December 6, 2024.
Finally, Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow will officially begin in January 2025, with same-day simulcasts on Crunchyroll.
