BREAKING NEWS: Miami Heat Sign’s Top Guard From Portland Trail Blazers on a Multi- Million Dollar Deal…
The Miami Heat are one of four NBA teams, along with the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors, showing interest in Nassir Little, a 2019 first-round draft pick. Little appeared in 45 games for the Phoenix Suns during the 2023-24 season, averaging 3.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game while shooting 46% from the field and 30% from three-point range.
Before his time with the Suns, Little spent four seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, who drafted him in 2019. His best season came during the 2021-22 campaign, when he posted career-high averages of 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists, shooting 46% from the floor and 33.1% from beyond the arc.
While the Celtics, Kings, and Warriors are also interested in Little, the Heat may be in a unique position. The Celtics are coming off a championship win in 2024, while the Warriors missed the playoffs and their dynasty seems to be waning. The Kings, despite winning 46 games, also missed the 2024 playoffs.
The Heat, despite already having depth at the small forward position with players like Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Duncan Robinson, could use Little as a reliable backup if one of those players gets injured. If signed, Little could help Miami as they look to improve on their early exit from the 2024 playoffs.
