Baltimore Ravens Signs Former Defensive Lineman From Pittsburgh Steelers to Boost Team…
The Baltimore Ravens have signed Chris Wormley, a former defensive lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wormley, who was initially drafted by the Ravens from Michigan in the 2017 NFL Draft, played three seasons with them before being traded to the Steelers for a late-round draft pick.
At 30 years old, Wormley spent the entire 2023 season with the Carolina Panthers. Initially placed on their practice squad, he was promoted to the active roster after four weeks and appeared in five games, making one tackle.
Wormley’s standout season was in 2021 with the Steelers, where he started 14 games and achieved a career-high 7.5 sacks. Unfortunately, his 2022 season was cut short by a torn ACL, which also impacted his 2023 season.
Having recently worked out for the Ravens, Wormley is expected to enhance their run defense. The Ravens are currently 0-2 following a 26-23 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
