Cam Taylor-Britt didn’t shy away from sharing his thoughts on rookie receiver Xavier Worthy. In a recent statement, the Cincinnati Bengals cornerback downplayed Worthy’s skill set, acknowledging his speed but suggesting that’s all he has to offer.
As the Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs aim to meet again in the AFC Championship, both teams have had contrasting starts to the season. While the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens, a team many regard as the top in the AFC, the Bengals suffered a surprising home loss to the Patriots, a team viewed as one of the worst in the league.
Now, with a tough road game ahead against the defending champion Chiefs, Taylor-Britt’s remarks might provide some extra fuel for Kansas City. When asked about his thoughts on Worthy, Taylor-Britt said, “He can run straight and do jet sweeps, but that’s pretty much it.”
Taylor-Britt is expected to primarily cover Worthy, who had a solid debut against the Ravens, finishing with two catches for 47 yards and a touchdown, plus a rushing score.
