The 2024 China Culture & Tourism Industries Exposition launched on September 13 in Tianjin, featuring over 2,000 enterprises from the culture and tourism sectors.
Running for four days, this event, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, highlights the dynamism of China’s culture and tourism industries and encourages their high-quality growth.
Spanning nine exhibition halls across 150,000 square meters, the expo includes immersive displays of smart tourism, outdoor gear, and innovations in cultural products and services.
Du Jiang, the vice minister of culture and tourism, noted that both the cultural and tourism industries in China have been thriving this year, contributing positively to job stability, consumer spending, and overall quality of life.
The National Bureau of Statistics reported a steady revenue increase in the cultural sector during the first half of the year, with major companies generating nearly 6.5 trillion yuan (approximately 915.11 billion U.S. dollars), marking a 7.5% year-on-year rise.
In addition to exhibitions, the expo will feature various conferences throughout the event.
