Five-star Texas WR Target Jaime Ffrench to Announce Commitment on Friday…
The Texas Longhorns are in a strong position to secure another five-star wide receiver for their 2025 recruiting class.
On Friday, Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench will reveal his college commitment at 7:25 a.m. Central, with the announcement streamed live on the 247Sports YouTube channel.
Texas is among the final four contenders for the 6’1, 185-pound receiver, alongside LSU, Miami, and Tennessee.
A consensus five-star recruit, Ffrench has been active in the recruiting circuit for the past two years, attending camps and making unofficial visits.

After participating in Alabama’s Junior Day and another unofficial visit in 2023, Ffrench committed to the Crimson Tide in July. However, he reopened his recruitment just two days after Nick Saban’s retirement.
Wide receivers coach Chris Jackson and the Longhorns entered the race for Ffrench by extending an offer in late January. Ffrench responded with multiple visits to Texas, including an official visit in June.
Texas emerged as the frontrunner for Ffrench over the summer, holding the last three 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for the nation’s No. 4 wide receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Jackson also recently secured a commitment from another five-star wide receiver, Kaliq Lockett from Sachse, who pledged to the Longhorns earlier this month.
