The Washington Mystics have announced a trade deal where they acquired a 2026 second-round draft pick, forward Sika Koné, and guard Olivia Époupa from the Minnesota Lynx in exchange for forward Myisha Hines-Allen.
Additionally, the Mystics have waived Époupa and guard-forward DiDi Richards.
Sika Koné, standing at 6-3, has played 17 games off the bench for the Lynx this season, averaging 1.2 points per game. Originally from Mali, she was selected 29th overall in the 2022 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty and played 20 games with the Chicago Sky during the 2023 season. In her second year in the league, Koné has career averages of 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
Myisha Hines-Allen, who was drafted 19th overall by the Mystics in the 2018 WNBA Draft, has spent her entire career with Washington. She was instrumental in helping the Mystics secure their first-ever WNBA Championship in 2019.
Over her seven seasons with the team, she has averaged 7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
General Manager Mike Thibault expressed his gratitude for Hines-Allen’s contributions, stating, “We deeply appreciate everything Myisha has done for our organization, both on and off the court.
She played a significant role in our championship run and has fought through injuries to contribute to this season. We wish her the best in Minnesota.”
