Argyle Liberty Christian quarterback Quinn Murphy, a three-star recruit from the 2026 class, has committed to Baylor football.
Murphy, who ranks as the No. 38 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite rankings, chose Baylor over Oklahoma State and several other schools. His decision adds him to Baylor’s 2026 recruiting class, making him the third player to commit.
In June, Murphy narrowed down his options from over 20 offers to Baylor, Oklahoma State, NC State, Missouri, SMU, Minnesota, Miami, and Arkansas.
During an interview with BearsIllustrated, Murphy mentioned the strong connection he shares with Baylor’s offensive coordinator, Jake Spavital, which played a significant role in his decision.
Previously, Murphy played at Austin Regents before transferring to Liberty Christian, where he passed for 3,030 yards and 52 touchdowns as a sophomore. With Murphy’s commitment, Baylor’s 2026 recruiting class is ranked 12th nationally and 1st in the Big 12.
