SHOCKING: Minnesota Timberwolves Guard Anthony Edwards Causes Stirs Online Amid Emergence of Michael Jordan Comparisons…

Anthony Edwards and Michael Jordan Comparisons Resurface After Viral Post

While it’s challenging to compare anyone to Michael Jordan, often considered the greatest of all time, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards frequently draws parallels to the basketball legend.

At just 22, Edwards is making waves for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, scoring a team-high 26 points in Saturday’s game against Puerto Rico. During the game, Edwards executed a one-handed dunk with his tongue out, eerily similar to an iconic image of Jordan from his Chicago Bulls days. Jordan was known for sticking his tongue out during games, a trait Edwards seems to be emulating.

FIBA shared a post featuring side-by-side images of both players with the caption, “I will let photos speak for themselves,” which quickly gained over 700,000 views within six hours.

This isn’t the first time Edwards has been compared to Jordan; these comparisons date back to his rookie year. The similarities in their athleticism and confidence on the court make these parallels hard to ignore. Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is another player Edwards is often likened to.

Some fans even joke that Edwards might be Jordan’s son due to their striking physical resemblance. This theory is one of the more popular NBA fan speculations in recent years. Similarly, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat has also been mentioned in such fan theories.

Although Edwards has a long way to go to reach Jordan’s level, he shows the potential to rise to the top.
