‘I Like Their Pace’ – Five-Star Recruit Discusses NC State Basketball…
NC State basketball head coach Kevin Keatts and his staff are making top 2025 guard Darius Adams a priority.
The NC State basketball recruiters are putting significant effort into securing La Lumiere School (Ind.) sharpshooter Darius Adams, marking their best opportunity to land a five-star recruit in the 2025 class. A clear indication of this is Adams, a 6-foot-5, 165-pound rising senior, scheduling an official visit with the Wolfpack shortly after receiving an offer from Kevin Keatts, now in his eighth year as head coach.
Ranked No. 17 overall and No. 4 among shooting guards on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, Adams will visit Raleigh the first weekend of September. He also plans to visit UConn, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Michigan State, and Alabama, with a potential commitment expected by October, ahead of the early signing period in November.
As the competition for Darius Adams intensifies, NC State basketball has emerged as a prominent contender, frequently reaching out to the recruit.
“I’ve been hearing a lot from Coach Keatts,” Adams shared with Zagsblog’s Sam Lance and Charlie Parent during last week’s Nike EYBL Peach Jam in South Carolina, where he played for PSA Cardinals. “They’ve been telling me I can make an immediate impact, which is something I want. I’m looking forward to visiting the school.
“They have a lot of guards, use ball screens frequently, and I really like their pace.”
Although Adams has not finalized his list of top choices, the six schools he plans to visit in the coming months are his primary focus, as he mentioned to Zagsblog.
