“Daaamnnn girl” – Emma Raducanu Gushes Over Paula Badosa’s Latest Cover Shoot for Spanish Magazine La Vanguardia
Emma Raducanu praised her friend and rival Paula Badosa for her stunning appearance in a Spanish magazine. Ranked 65th in the world, Badosa posted three photos from her La Vanguardia cover shoot, featuring stylish outfits and tennis court poses. The two have faced each other only once on the ITF circuit, in the quarterfinals of the 2019 W25 Bolton tournament, where Raducanu won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Despite their on-court rivalry, they have developed a friendship, frequently commenting on each other’s social media posts and complimenting each other’s style.
Badosa’s latest photoshoot for La Vanguardia, a Spanish newspaper and magazine, was shared on her Instagram on July 22. The shoot showcased her in various outfits from brands like Dioriviera, Loewe, Levi’s, Lola Casademunt, Uniqlo, and Rabanne.
In the first image, the former World No. 2 is lying sideways on the tennis court in a Toile de Jouy print dress by Dioriviera. The second image shows her posing on the net in a skirt and top made of polypropylene from Loewe. The final image features her in a Levi’s shirt, a Lola Casademunt knitted vest, Uniqlo jeans, and a Rabanne link chain.
Unfortunately, Raducanu and Badosa did not meet at Wimbledon this year, as both lost in their respective Round of 16 matches. Raducanu, a wildcard entrant for the grass-court Slam, lost 2-6, 7-5, 2-6 to New Zealand’s Lulu Sun. Badosa faced a tough match against Croatia’s Donna Vekic, who defeated her 6-2, 1-6, 6-4. Vekic advanced to the semifinals, where she lost to eventual runner-up Jasmine Paolini.
