NC State Secures WR Jerel Bolder and RB RJ Boyd
NC State’s recruiting efforts surged in June with two significant additions following Arrion Concepcion’s commitment. Wide receiver Jerel Bolder and running back RJ Boyd joined the Wolfpack on Sunday, bolstering the future offense.
Bolder, a prominent recruit, visited NC State’s campus this weekend after earlier visits to Georgia, Duke, and Virginia. Retaining an in-state talent like Bolder, especially with interest from Georgia, is a considerable win for NC State.

Bolder showcased his talent in 2023 with 881 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns on 43 receptions. Standing at 6’0” and weighing 192 pounds, Bolder is a consensus three-star recruit and a top-15 player in North Carolina.
Boyd, a three-star prospect from Georgia, stands at 6’0” and weighs 205 pounds. He selected NC State over Duke, having rushed for 694 yards and 10 touchdowns on 114 carries last fall.
NC State Adds Canadian Forward Ismael Diouf
NC State has secured a commitment from international recruit Ismael Diouf for the 2024 class. The 6’9”, 215-pound forward from Laval University in Canada announced his decision on Monday after visiting NC State last week. Diouf, who averaged 10.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game last season, will join the Wolfpack for the 2024-25 season, bringing versatility to the power forward and center positions.
Diouf, from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, recently led Laval University to a national championship, earning Final 8 Tournament MVP honors with averages of 14.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 33.8 minutes per game. Recognized as an RSEQ Rookie All-Star in 2022-23, Diouf’s development and dedication have been praised by Laval and the Montréal Alliance organization.
The Alliance’s General Manager Joel Anthony and President Annie Larouche expressed pride in Diouf’s achievements and confidence in his future at NC State. Diouf chose NC State over interest from Michigan, Tennessee, and West Virginia. More updates on Diouf will be available on Pack Pride.
